St. John Paul II waltzed into their contest on Saturday with 15 straight wins... but they left with 16. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Haleyville Lions. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Their offense was headlined by Mikayla Osaji and Rhyan Holloway, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Elizabeth Rohling and her 17 assists. Abigail Donatelli controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

St. John Paul II's victory bumped their record up to 23-11. As for Haleyville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-10.

St. John Paul II has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Russellville on the 4th. As for Haleyville, they are taking a road trip to take on Lamar County at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
