Baseball Recap: American Heritage Gets the Win

While American Heritage's win against Draper APA wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Eagles 14-13. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Justin Robertson and Matthew Brady did most of the damage at the plate: Robertson got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Brady got on base in all five of his plate appearances with five runs and one double. Brady has become a key player for American Heritage: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. Jack Buer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

American Heritage always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory got American Heritage back to even at 4-4. As for Draper APA, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
