Basketball Recap: Heartland Christian Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Madonna

Heartland Christian's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Madonna Blue Dons by a score of 49-37. The win was all the more spectacular given the Lions 's disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 605th in Ohio, while the Blue Dons are ranked 99th in West Virginia).

Heartland Christian's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Madonna, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Heartland Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-48 defeat against McDonald on the 10th. Madonna has also already played their next matchup (against Weir), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
