Basketball Recap: Watersmeet Takes a Loss

Watersmeet was the 77-40 winner over Chassell when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Watersmeet Nimrods fell 51-42 to the Chassell Panthers on Friday. The Nimrods have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Watersmeet's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Chassell, with the win, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Watersmeet will venture away from home to face off against Ewen-Trout Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ewen-Trout Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. Chassell has already played their next matchup (against Dollar Bay), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
