Baseball Recap: Harrison Central Takes a Loss

Harrison Central came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 7-0 to the Petal Panthers. The game marked the first time this season in which the Red Rebels were not able to get on the board.

Harrison Central got a good showing from Parrish Laiche, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Laiche has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Harrison Central has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. Petal has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrison Central will challenge Hancock at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Petal, they will face off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
