Basketball Recap: Ouachita Parish Comes Up Short

Ouachita Parish suffered their biggest loss since December 3, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Parkway Panthers, falling 66-41. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 54-9 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Dakota Howard was her usual excellent self, putting up 35 points for Parkway. The matchup was Howard's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mahogany Johnson, who posted six points.

Ouachita Parish's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Parkway, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.
