Softball Recap: Everett Takes a Loss

Everett couldn't beat Monroe on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Seagulls came up short against the Bearcats, falling 17-7. The loss continues a trend for the Seagulls in their meetings with the Bearcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Everett's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Monroe, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Everett will face off against Snohomish at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Seagulls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Monroe, they will challenge Stanwood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
