Basketball Recap: Aj Trimboli and Jonovan Bracey Secure Win for King

King entered their tilt with Kingswood Oxford on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 65-56 victory over the Kingswood Oxford Wyverns. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Wyverns back in December of 2024, they had to take a 81-76 loss.

Leading King to victory were Jonovan Bracey and Aj Trimboli. Bracey went 6 of 10 en route to 19 points and eight rebounds, while Trimboli went 6 for 11 on his way to 23 points. The match was Trimboli's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Griffin Joo was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

King has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Kingswood Oxford, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 3-1 record.

King will host Rye Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kingswood Oxford, they will take on Marianapolis Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
