Basketball Game Preview: Provine Rams vs. South Jones Braves

The Provine Rams will head out on the road to face off against the South Jones Braves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Provine and five for South Jones.

On Friday, Provine ended up a good deal behind Natchez and lost 48-32. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 184th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 50th).

Meanwhile, South Jones lost to Natchez on the road by a 55-37 margin last Friday. The Braves were down 44-22 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Provine's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for South Jones, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.

Provine strolled past South Jones when the teams last played on January 9th by a score of 65-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Provine since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
