Basketball Game Preview: Hathaway Hornets vs. Lake Arthur Tigers

Hathaway and Lake Arthur are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Hathaway Hornets will venture away from home to take on the Lake Arthur Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hathaway is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Westlake just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Rams an easy 73-47 win.

Meanwhile, Lake Arthur came up short against Barbe on Monday, falling 69-47.

Hathaway's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Lake Arthur, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Hathaway came up short against Lake Arthur when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 64-52. Can Hathaway avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
