League recap: Cathedral jumps in national rankings thanks to big week

Cathedral went from 119 to 113 in the national rankings since last week after going 2-0 in the past seven days.

First place in the league belongs to the Green Wave, which have compiled a 16-7 overall record to go with their 5-1 league record. West Lincoln sits 2.00 games back in second, with a 3-3 record in league play.

Cathedral's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 22 hits and 15 walks, both of which led the league. On the season, the Green Wave have allowed just 98 hits, while striking out 125 batters. Blake Martin leads the Green Wave with 59 strikeouts in 60 innings.
