Basketball Recap: West Phoenix Takes a Loss

West Phoenix was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way and fell 69-3. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 70-7 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

West Phoenix's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way, they pushed their record up to 2-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

West Phoenix will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ridgeline Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 14, 2025. As for Sequoia Pathfinder Verrado Way, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against East Valley Athletes for Christ at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
