Baseball Recap: Menard Comes Up Short

Menard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Knippa Crushers. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 13-12 to the Crushers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Menard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Knippa, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Menard will face off against Leakey at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Knippa, they will square off against New Braunfels Christian Academy at 2:45 p.m. on Friday. Knippa is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.
