Baseball Recap: Rivera Has No Trouble Against Donna

Rivera got themselves on the board against Donna on Tuesday, but Donna never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Donna Redskins with a sharp 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Not much got past Derrick Villarreal, who gave up just five hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Donna off the board. Those 14 strikeouts gave Villarreal a new career-high.

At the plate, Marcos Guerrero was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Enrique Rey was another key player, scoring a run while going 4-for-4.

Rivera hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Donna struck out 13 times.

Rivera's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Donna, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-6 record.

Rivera will have a chance to go back-to-back against Donna: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
