Preview: Randallstown Rams vs. Parkville Knights
The Randallstown Rams will be playing at home against the Parkville Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Randallstown has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Parkville will arrive with three straight wins.
Randallstown pushed their score all the way to 56 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 62-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Archbishop Curley.
Meanwhile, even though Towson scored an imposing 67 points on Wednesday, Parkville still came out on top. Parkville snuck past Towson with a 71-67 win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chima Egeonu, who almost dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 18 rebounds, and nine blocks. Egeonu has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Anthony Council, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds.
Randallstown bumped their record down to 6-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only six points. As for Parkville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
