            Softball Recap: La Costa Canyon Mavericks vs. Bonita Vista Barons        
        
		
        
        
            La Costa Canyon fell victim to Bonita Vista and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Barons by a score of  2-0. It was the first time  this season that the Mavericks let down their fans at home.
 Norah Coulsell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two  runs (both of which were unearned)  on five hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in seven consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, La Costa Canyon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Sienna Curry, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  stolen base.
This is the second loss in a row for La Costa Canyon and  nudges their season record down to 8-5-1. As for Bonita Vista, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.
 Coming up, La Costa Canyon will face off against San Dieguito Academy at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their  seventh straight  win, something the Mavericks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bonita Vista, they will square off against Rancho Buena Vista at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Longhorns' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8  runs per game  this season, so the Barons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
