Soccer Recap: Brawley Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Brawley was not quite San Luis's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They lost 4-1 to the San Luis Sidewinders. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 451st in California, while the Sidewinders are ranked 14th in Arizona).

Brawley's goal came courtesy of Diego Padilla, who's now up to 13 this season.

With the defeat, Brawley broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5-2. As for San Luis, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Brawley wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 win against Yuma on the 9th. San Luis has also already played their next matchup, an 8-1 victory against Gila Ridge on the 10th.
