Central Davidson typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Oak Grove proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Spartans. With that win, the Grizzlies brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Cam Sharpe made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

In other pitching news, Seth Yarbrough looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Carson Everhart, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and four runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Kaden Hart was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and five RBI.

The victory was the third in a row for Oak Grove, bringing their record up to 13-10. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Central Davidson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-7.

Looking ahead, Oak Grove will face off against Ledford at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Panthers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Central Davidson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
