New Deal came out on top against Sundown on Friday thanks in part to Dallas Sumner's efforts. Sumner threw for 93 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 54 yards on only five carries. The effort also marked the most passing touchdowns (two) he has had since back in September of 2024.

Sumner and New Deal will face off against Lubbock Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time these two faced off, Sumner and Co. were forced to settle for a 46-7 loss.
