Football Recap: Laguna Creek Comes Up Short

After flying high against Valley last Tuesday, Laguna Creek came back down to earth. The Cardinals were beaten by the Pleasant Grove Eagles 34-0 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 491st, while the Eagles are ranked 111th).

Justine Tofi threw for 33 yards on five of nine attempts.

Laguna Creek dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Pleasant Grove, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Laguna Creek wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 24-18 defeat against Sheldon on the 11th. As for Pleasant Grove, they have also already played their next game, a 40-20 victory against Elk Grove on the 11th.
