Basketball Recap: Tate Aggies vs. Escambia Gators

The Tate Aggies won the last time they faced the Escambia Gators, and things went their way on Thursday too. Tate took down the Gators 64-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Tate.

Tate's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Deonne Williams, jr., who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Williams, who scored nine points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Tate's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Escambia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-16.

Tate will square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Niceville is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Escambia, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Fort Walton Beach focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Monday.
