A Season-Best Performance from Konley Cova Leads Wheatland over Mira Loma

Wheatland was led to victory by Konley Cova, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Cova's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up three sacks and made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).

The victory for Wheatland keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Cova will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Marysville on Friday.

Big Game from Ogles As Oakmont Won 28-7

Oakmont found a leader in Beau Ogles as the team took down Lincoln on Friday. Nobody could stop Ogles as he threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 50 yards.

Oakmont pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Ogles and Oakmont are taking a road trip to take on Mira Loma at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Colton Burns Dazzles in Wheatland Victory

Colton Burns was instrumental in extending Wheatland's winning streak to seven on Friday. Burns was dynamite, picking up a sack and making 13 total tackles in addition to snagging two interceptions which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Jaylen Brown Turns in Season-Best Performance

Marysville was led to victory by Jaylen Brown, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Brown rushed for 33 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 138 yards and a touchdown on only ten passes.

Marysville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Brown and Marysville will host Wheatland at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
