Football Game Preview: MacArthur Generals vs. Garden City Trojans

MacArthur hasn't had much luck against Garden City recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Generals will be playing at home against the Trojans. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

MacArthur took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Jericho 42-13. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.

Meanwhile, Garden City never let their opponents score on Saturday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 42-0 win over East Meadow. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Jets are ranked 188th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

MacArthur now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Garden City, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

MacArthur took a serious blow against Garden City when the teams last played back in September of 2023, falling 49-0. Can the Generals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
