Coastal Academy posted their closest victory since March 12th on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Foothills Christian Knights 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Stingrays: when they faced off against the Knights back in March, they had to take a 4-1 defeat.
Jayce Costephens was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sammy Senigaglia, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Coastal Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Foothills Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-9.
Coastal Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
