Volleyball Recap: Carrollwood Day Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Trinity Catholic + How To Watch

Carrollwood Day faced Trinity Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Patriots took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Celtics. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Celtics apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

The final score came out to 25-20, 11-25, 25-13, 25-23.

Lydia Chinchar paced Carrollwood Day's offense, picking up 23 kills. Chinchar got some help from Lia Black and her 24 assists. Chinchar was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Among those leading the charge was Isabella Rodriguez, who had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Carrollwood Day and nudges their season record down to 17-6. As for Trinity Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.
