Recap: Dayspring Academy Shires vs. University School of Nashville Tigers
The Dayspring Academy Shires lost against the University School of Nashville Tigers back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Dayspring Academy fell 30-22 to University School of Nashville. Dayspring Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
University School of Nashville can attribute much of their success to Uma Peters, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Josie Whelan was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds.
Dayspring Academy dropped their record down to 3-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.0 points per game. As for University School of Nashville, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-19.
Dayspring Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for University School of Nashville, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Franklin Road Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully University School of Nashville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Monday.
