Recap: Rock Canyon Jaguars vs. Douglas County Huskies
On Tuesday, the Rock Canyon Jaguars faced the Douglas County Huskies in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Rock Canyon snuck past Douglas County with a 79-74 victory. Winning may never get old, but Rock Canyon sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Macoy Terry continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kasen Lehman, who scored 20 points.
Rock Canyon pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.9 points per game. As for Douglas County, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-3.
Rock Canyon will be playing in front of their home fans against Regis Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Douglas County, they will head out on the road to challenge ThunderRidge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. ThunderRidge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matchups -- so hopefully Douglas County likes a good challenge.
