Basketball Recap: Saghan Schlabach Key Part of a Team Effort in Couriers Win

Clinton Christian proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 27) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 39-36 victory over the Trinity Greenlawn Titans. For the Couriers, this counts as revenge for the 48-14 win the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clinton Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Saghan Schlabach, who posted 12 points and three steals. Madi Yoder was another key player, putting up eight points and 11 rebounds.

Clinton Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Trinity Greenlawn, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Clinton Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Elkhart Christian Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Trinity Greenlawn, they will challenge Lakeland Christian Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
