Basketball Recap: East Lincoln Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

It's playoff time, and East Lincoln had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Hickory Red Tornadoes 72-70. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 76-73 win last Tuesday.

East Lincoln found their leader in sophomore Jaxon Dollar, who dropped a triple-double with 12 points, 13 rebounds, and ten assists. Dollar is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Grant Lawless, who en route to 12 points and six boards.

East Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Hickory and nudges their season record down to 16-6.

Coming up, East Lincoln will face off against Dudley on Friday. East Lincoln is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 73.3 points per game this season. Hickory does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
