Soccer Game Preview: St. Bernard vs. Sacred Heart of Jesus

The St. Bernard Vikings will head out to square off against the Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Bernard is looking for their season's first win.

St. Bernard played against Bishop Conaty-Loretto and lost via forfeit.

Sacred Heart of Jesus is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Pomona Catholic on Monday. They fell just short of the Pacers by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time the Comets couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

St. Bernard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Sacred Heart of Jesus, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

St. Bernard might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Sacred Heart of Jesus in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can St. Bernard avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
