Baseball Recap: Tupelo Christian Prep Finds Home Field Redemption Against New Site

There's no place like home for Tupelo Christian Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the New Site Royals 14-4 on Tuesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Eagles' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Jax Coker was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Cornelison, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Tupelo Christian Prep's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for New Site, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Tupelo Christian Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 30-0 win against Hickory Flat on the 27th. As for New Site, they have also already played their next matchup, a 5-1 victory against Pine Grove on the 27th.
