Basketball Recap: Shelby Valley Takes a Loss

Shelby Valley lost against Martin County back in December of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Shelby Valley Wildcats fell 60-53 to the Martin County Cardinals.

Shelby Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Martin County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Wildcats face off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Pikeville will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Shelby Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Martin County, they will welcome Paintsville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
