Basketball Recap: Fishers Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

After losing to Franklin Central the last time they met, Fishers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Fishers Tigers came out on top against the Franklin Central Flashes by a score of 44-35 on Friday.

Nevaeh Dickman was her usual excellent self, going 9 for 11 on her way to 21 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie M Thomas, who posted nine points.

Franklin Central lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Payton Duvall, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Riley Huotari, who put up nine points.

Fishers is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Franklin Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-9 record this season.

Fishers and Franklin Central are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Fishers will take on Hamilton Southeastern at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamilton Southeastern will roll in looking for their 23rd straight victory, something Fishers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Franklin Central, they will challenge Center Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Center Grove is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season.
