Softball Recap: Sweetwater Takes a Loss

Sweetwater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Ingram Moore Warriors.

Lauren Biera made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Alexis Heredia-Gonzales also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Sweetwater's loss dropped their record down to 10-16-1. As for Ingram Moore, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season.

While Sweetwater had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
