Softball Recap: Windsor Locks Raiders vs. East Catholic Eagles        
        
		
            
 Windsor Locks was not able to break out of their rough patch  in their first game  on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight  loss. They suffered a  rough 14-1 defeat at the hands of the East Catholic Eagles. Windsor Locks was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Catholic apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in May of 2018.
 For East Catholic's part,  Amelia Deschaine made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Deschaine has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Deschaine was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.
 In other batting news, East Catholic got a  massive  performance out of  Marina Juan, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs. Another player making a difference was  Ciara Flaherty, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run, three  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Windsor Locks' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for East Catholic, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
 Windsor Locks will head out on the road to  take on  Bolton at 3:45  p.m.  in their second game  on Monday. Bolton and Windsor Locks are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for East Catholic, they will head out on the road to  square off against  South Windsor at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday.
