John Jay came tearing into Wednesday's match with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Suffern Mounties by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

In the three sets John Jay was on fire: they won each by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-7, 18-25, 25-11.

Peyton Kellam paced John Jay's offense, picking up 21 kills. Kellam got some help from Margaret Bojarczuk and her 27 assists. Bojarczuk also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jaeda Lisi, each putting up six.

John Jay's victory bumped their record up to 21-3-1. As for Suffern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coincidentally, John Jay and Suffern will both be playing Ketcham the next time they take the court. The Patriots will head out to face the Storm at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Mounties will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
