Soccer Recap: Bethany Christian Takes a Loss

Bethany Christian lost against Westview back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bruins came up short against the Warriors, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Bethany Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Westview are ranked 56th).

Bethany Christian has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7-2 record this season. As for Westview, they pushed their record up to 11-1-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bethany Christian will welcome Lakeland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lakeland's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Westview, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Jimtown at 6:30 p.m. Westview's defense better be ready for this one: Jimtown have averaged an impressive 3.7 goals per game this season.
