Basketball Game Preview: Coatesville Red Raiders vs. Bishop Shanahan Eagles

The Coatesville Red Raiders will face off against the Bishop Shanahan Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Coatesville is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Coatesville had to suffer through a 82-49 loss at the hands of Hazleton Area. While losing is never fun, the Red Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while the Cougars are ranked second).

Meanwhile, Bishop Shanahan scored the most points they've had this season on Sunday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 52-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Germantown Academy. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop Shanahan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Coatesville, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Coatesville came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop Shanahan when the teams last played back in December of 2024, sneaking past 42-40. Does Coatesville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bishop Shanahan turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
