Baseball Recap: Bell Gets the Win

Bell won the last time they faced Roosevelt and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eagles walked away with a 6-1 win over the Rough Riders.

Adolfo Esquivel got the start for Bell and what a start it was: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave Esquivel a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gustavo Ramirez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Armando Aguilar was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Bell's record now sits at 18-3. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Bell will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rough Riders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
