Volleyball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

Cherokee suffered their biggest loss since October 8, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the West Greene Buffaloes, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Chiefs in their meetings with the Buffaloes: they've now lost five in a row.

Cherokee took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-20.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for West Greene, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Cherokee will square off against Volunteer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Greene, they will challenge North Greene at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Buffaloes' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
