Basketball Recap: Dimmitt Has No Trouble Against Friona

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Littlefield, Dimmitt was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took down the Friona Chieftans 62-44. That looming 62-44 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bobcats yet this season.

With the win, Dimmitt broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-12. As for Friona, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-17.

Dimmitt and Friona could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Dimmitt will challenge Slaton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 698 places (930 vs. 232). Similarly, Friona (ranked 1500th) will meet Littlefield (ranked 370th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
