Central Florida Christian Academy turns things around after tough road loss

There's no place like home for the Central Florida Christian Academy Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They snuck past South Lake with a 66-60 win on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Central Florida Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Semaj Washington out in front who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Washington has scored at least 25% of Central Florida Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Brigham, who scored 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 assists.

South Lake's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was kevens charles, who scored 18 points. David PINA was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 7 rebounds.

Central Florida Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for South Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Central Florida Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against International Community at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Lake won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Foundation Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 28th. Allowing an average of 57 points per game, Foundation Academy has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this matchup.
