Volleyball Recap: Biddeford Takes a Loss

Biddeford lost against Thornton Academy back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Trojans. While the Tigers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 25-13 in the first set.

Biddeford started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-12, 25-9, 25-14.

Despite the loss, Biddeford still got an impressive performance from Jaynelle Barrett, who had 18 assists and seven digs. Barrett is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Biddeford and nudges their season record down to 1-8. As for Thornton Academy, their record now sits at 8-2.

Coming up, Biddeford will square off against Marshwood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Thornton Academy, they will challenge Scarborough at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
