Football Recap: Pine Forest Falls to Pace in First Game of Season

Pine Forest kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 72-0 defeat at the hands of the Pace Patriots. The Eagles have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Pace's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amaya Pablo led the charge by throwing for 212 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 79.2% of her passes. What's more, Pablo also racked up 144.4 passer rating, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Emily Good was Pablo's top target, picking up 64 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine Forest will venture away from home to challenge Crestview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pace, they are taking a road trip to take on Destin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
