Baseball Recap: Parkway Drops Highest Score of Season Against Antwerp

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Parkway). They put the hurt on the Antwerp Archers with a sharp 15-4 win on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Panthers with their most commanding win of the season.

Isaac Beveridge looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

At the plate, Parkway got a massive performance out of Perry Schwieterman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jack Yoder, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Parkway always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Parkway back to even at 4-4. As for Antwerp, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Parkway will take on Fort Recovery at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Antwerp, they will face off against Wayne Trace at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Archers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
