Softball Recap: Hardeeville Comes Up Short

Hardeeville and Palmetto Scholars Academy squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Hardeeville had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-1 to the Phoenix, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Canes just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Hardeeville's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.

Hardeeville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, they will face off against Branchville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellow Jackets' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Phoenix's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
