Volleyball Recap: Sacred Heart Takes a Loss

After a string of three wins, Sacred Heart's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against the Osceola Indians, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Gremlins have suffered since September 30th.

Sacred Heart was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-13, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Sacred Heart saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sophie Hesse had 25 digs. Those 25 digs set a new season-high mark for Hesse.

Kylee Guerin was the offensive standout of the match as she had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last four matchups.

Sacred Heart's loss dropped their record down to 16-11-2. As for Osceola, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-9-6.

As of now, neither Sacred Heart nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
