Soccer Recap: Sunset Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sunset walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the North Mesquite Stallions a 1-0 shutout on Friday. Sunset's winning goal came courtesy of Samantha Piedra Garcia.

Sunset's win bumped their record up to 12-6-2. As for North Mesquite, they moved to 15-6-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Sunset didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-1 defeat against Red Oak on the 25th. North Mesquite does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
