Cape Henry Collegiate is headed out to face Greenbrier Christian Academy after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Cape Henry Collegiate never let TEACH Homeschool get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Dolphins in their matchups with the Beach Breakers: they've now won three in a row.
Trajan Taylor looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Cape Henry Collegiate let Chris Martinez and Reid Downs run wild. Martinez scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 4-for-4, while Downs scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave Martinez a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Harley Matela, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
Cape Henry Collegiate always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as TEACH Homeschool only posted an OBP of .150.
Meanwhile, Greenbrier Christian Academy entered their tilt with Isle of Wight Academy on Tuesday with nine consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They were the clear victor by an 18-0 margin over the Chargers.
Jackson Okonkwo made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). The dominant performance gave him a new career-low in hits. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
In other pitching news, Zach Tew and Luke Davenport dominated on the mound. Tew pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits, while Davenport pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Thomas Conrad was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three stolen bases, and six RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Tyson Moravec, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Cape Henry Collegiate beat Greenbrier Christian Academy 4-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cape Henry Collegiate since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
