If Northwestern wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Catawba Ridge, they should've done a better job of containing Addison Cunningham. The Catawba Ridge Copperheads came out on top against the Northwestern Trojans by a score of 47-38 on Tuesday thanks in part to Cunningham, who posted 18 points and five steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Despite the loss, Northwestern saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kaydence Woods scored 11 points along with seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Bennett, who put up five points.

Catawba Ridge's record now sits at 8-12. As for Northwestern, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Indian Land the next time they take the court. Northwestern will head out to face Indian Land at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while Catawba Ridge will host them at 6:30 p.m. on February 4th.
